Privacy policy

Calculator Locker is built so that we cannot see your data. This page explains what that means in practice, for the iPhone and Android apps and for this website.

What stays on your phone

Every photo, video, file, note, bookmark and break-in photo in the vault is stored in encrypted storage on your device. Encryption keys are generated on the device and are never transmitted. Calculator Locker has no servers that hold user content, and the vault is never synced or uploaded. The only copy that can leave the app is an encrypted backup file that you choose to export and keep yourself.

What we collect

Nothing. The app does not require an account, does not collect names, email addresses or contact details, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. It sends nothing to us. If you email support, we keep that conversation only for as long as it takes to help you.

Permissions

Access to your photo library, your camera (for break-in photos after wrong codes, and only once you allow camera access) and Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock is used on your phone only, for the feature that asks for it. Biometric checks are done by your phone's operating system; the app never receives your biometric data.

The private browser

Pages you open in the private browser load directly from those websites, and searches go directly to the search engine: DuckDuckGo on iPhone, and on Android DuckDuckGo unless you choose Startpage, Google or Bing in settings. Those sites receive your request the same way they would from any browser, under their own privacy policies. We never see what you browse.

Purchases

Calculator Locker is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions on iPhone or Android. We do not process payments or receive any purchase information.

This website

This site uses buyflow.io, a lightweight analytics service, to count visits. It records the pages you view, outbound links you click, the referring site and campaign tags, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, using a random identifier kept in your browser's local storage. It sets no cookies, and it does not run when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The footer shows a badge image loaded from saasworldmap.com, which receives the standard information any web request carries (your IP address and browser type). Server logs record standard request information for security and are deleted on a rolling basis.
